Welcome to the online home of the KC Select: Scream Xplosion. The 96/97 Scream Xplosion was formed in June of 2006. Head Coach Shawn Burton was looking for a way to give back and one great way to do that was to offer his knowledge of the beautiful game to a group of eager young Soccer players. We are pleased to announce that our coaching staff for the 08-09 season will also feature Kansas City Wizards Midfielder Ryan Pore. We believe that Ryan's experience and insight will be a great benefit to our coaches, parents and especially our players. We offer a fun and exciting way to learn what it takes to be successful not only on the field but off the field as well. We stress individual one on one skills, ball control, precision passing, teamwork and we have begun to introduce age appropriate tactical elements.

 The Fall '08 season is closing in fast and the KCS: Scream Xplosion is about to embark on their third season. The '08-'09 tryout season has ended for us and we are incredibly excited to welcome back our returning players and are equally as excited to welcome our new team members into our Soccer family.

 The '07-'08 year was very successful in all respects. The girls had a lot of fun together on and off the field. They all worked very hard to become the best Soccer players they could be and that effort paid of as each and everyone of them has made great strides over the past year. That determination and hard work also led to success in the many tournaments we participated in. Throughout the '07-'08 seasons we played in nine age appropriate tournaments and were fortunate enough to play in six championship games. The bar has been set high, but we have no doubt that '08-'09 will be an even better year.

 This Fall we will once again field two teams. We will have a U-12 A team in the K.C. Metro League and we will field a U-12 Division 2 team in the Premiership (Heartland Soccer Association). We will also take part in several tournaments this fall. Once again our Fall weekends will be filled with Soccer balls, fun and friendship.
