Barry Cummings Joins KC Select

We are excited to announce that Barry Cummings is joining the KC Select Soccer Club! Barry will assume the role of Director of Coaching for KC Select Kansas-based teams. Joining KC Select with Barry are 3 of his very accomplished girls teams: U16 Freedom, U12 Fire and U11 Solar. Barry is from Greenock, Scotland. He played youth soccer for the Celtic Boys Club from Glasgow and was the Captain of the Scottish Amateur National Team. He played eight years in the Scottish Junior league starting in Aryshire for Darly JFC and Largs JFC. Also he moved on to play in the Glasgow Central Division for Greenock JFC, Port Glasgow JFC, Renfrew JFC, and Saint Anthony's JFC. Barry has coached youth soccer in the USA for over 10 years. With the wealth of knowledge and experience that Barry brings, he will also be a featured instructor for KC Select Coaching Clinics and Player Academies. KC Select and Elite Coaching Partner with Fountain Bluff Sports Complex |

|
KC Select and Elite Coaching are pleased to announce a partnership with Liberty Parks & Recreation through its Fountain Bluff Sports Complex. KC Select will offer KC Metro League playing opportunities to Northland teams starting with the Fall 2007 season. KC Select and Elite will also be conducting player training academies and coaching clinics at Fountain Bluff. Elite Coaching owners Shaun Owens and Mike Mathis believe this is another incremental step in delivering on KC Select's and Elite's mission of providing quality and afforable training to players of all skill levels in the KC Metro area. It also positions the Fountain Bluff Sports Complex as be a valuable resource to conduct player and coaching education for the Liberty community and the surrounding areas. KC Select Scream 3v3 Soccer Team Places First in World Championship |

January 13-16, 2007 Orlando, Florida |

Scream Red, comprised of 6 girls (U14) across the metro area, was undefeated through pool and bracket play, finishing with an 8-0 record. Over 2500 teams from around the world start the 3v3 circuit in June of each year with the hope to earn a spot to play in Orlando. Scream Red beat the number one ranked team in a close semi-final match, 8-6 to advance to the final. During the semi-final, Scream Red found it self down 3-0 in the first minutes of the game. They rallied to complete an amazing come from behind victory over the Cougars out of Lutz, Florida. Scream Red went on to beat a team from Kentucky to claim the title of 3v3 Kick It World Champion. | |
